Description:
In recent years, IT service providers have come under sustained pressure, often accused of failing to deliver value to their clients. Concerns have been raised that IT services, whether provided by an in-house IT department or an external organization, are not aligned with the needs of the business and its customers. An IT Service Management System (ITSMS) is an integrated approach to enable an organization to effectively and efficiently deliver managed IT services which meet these business and customer requirements. In this section you will find information on all our ITSMS products and services; they will help you understand, implement and become registered to an IT Service Management System:
- Our overview section describes what an IT Service Management System is and more about ISO/IEC 20000 (previously BS 15000).
- Implementing an IT Service Management System provides a step-by-step guide that every company implementing an ITSMS will need to consider.
- ITSMS Registration describes the benefits of ISO/IEC 20000
It is important to note that the British Standard BS 15000 has been replaced by the International Standard ISO/IEC 20000. ISO/IEC 20000 is aligned with ITIL and the new version 3 of ITIL now documents how the two frameworks work closer together as ITIL has added Business Management Systems and Continuous Improvement.
